100% of Reunion's proceeds support impact initiatives for Indigenous medicine and scholarships
Reunion Costa Rica, a not-for-profit retreat center founded in 2019 providing transformational plant medicine journeys for healing and personal growth, is proud to welcome five additional Indigenous medicine carriers from across Central and South America as facilitators of its on-going program “The Reunion Experience: An Ayahuasca Journey."
Reunion’s expanded body of practitioners will provide an integral connection between ancient traditions and modern plant medicine practices for health and wellness.
Reunion’s expanded body of practitioners will provide an integral connection between ancient traditions and modern plant medicine practices for health and wellness.
- Christian Calero Díaz is an 11th generation Peruvian healer and shaman and brings to Reunion a deep reverence for plant medicine and a life-long dedication to these sacred practices.
- Ninawa Pai Da Mata is an ancient wisdom keeper, spiritual leader, and renowned medicine musician of the Amazonian Huni Kuin people, whose work is focused on sharing and spreading Huni Kuin culture through traditional chants and songs.
- Maestra Ynes and her two daughters, Maestra Laura and Maestra Lila, bring to Reunion over 80 years of dedicated medicine experience and ancestral knowledge of the Shipibo tradition. They have devoted their lives to healing and bring with them a wealth of generational and familial knowledge.
Together, the depth and breadth of knowledge that these wisdom keepers bring to Reunion’s ceremonial offerings will enable the organization to better serve the growing plant medicine community as its guests seek to explore authentic, transformative healing experiences.
“Working with wisdom keepers from various Indigenous lineages allows us to facilitate this work in solidarity with the original stewards of the medicines to ensure we are in reciprocity and integrity. Reunion is honored to act as a bridge between Indigenous cultures, medicines, and deep, ancestral practices as they are shared with modern Western cultures through our center in Costa Rica. Our not-for-profit model allows us to facilitate this work without commodification and deeply resonates with our growing family of contributors, which includes practitioners and experienced facilitators,” said Brad Wells, Founder and Steward of Reunion.
“Being at Reunion and working with people from all over the world brings joy and happiness to my heart. Sharing my culture’s sacred Peruvian healing medicines and practices with guests as they transform in harmony with nature is an honor for me. Thank you, Reunion, for welcoming me as family,” said Christian Calero Díaz.
In line with its values of reciprocity, the Reunion Scholarship Program provides financial assistance and greater accessibility for guests who could not otherwise afford the opportunity to undergo transformative healing with plant medicine.
Reunion is also proud to be an Exhibiting Sponsor at the upcoming Psychedelic Science 2023 conference in Denver, Colorado from June 19-23, 2023. Guests at the conference will find Reunion at Booth 816.
