Homecoming, a leading patient care companion platform designed to facilitate and streamline the process of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for practices and clinicians, is pleased to announce the release of its expert-led program to help patients prepare for ketamine-assisted therapy.
Homecoming’s ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) platform was created in partnership with experienced ketamine providers to offer thorough educational content about how to prepare for a ketamine therapy experience. This includes the stages of therapy, talking to your friends and family about psychedelic therapy, ketamine and music, activities, lessons, and reflections to support patients’ journeys. In addition, clinicians utilizing Homecoming have the opportunity to choose from a variety of supplemental tools and assessments that support the processing of insights gained during ketamine therapy experiences.
“Our new preparation content contributes to the ketamine therapy ecosystem to ensure that providers can easily offer comprehensive support and guidance to all their clients,” says Homecoming founder and CEO Yuriy Blokhin. “There’s only so much time they have together, and clients have many questions about ketamine therapy before their first treatment. Our goal is to ensure that each client gets all the information they need to feel safe and prepared to get the most out of their treatment.”
Following an extensive data review and consultation period, both internally and with its various client clinicians, Homecoming is releasing its first major content update since becoming available to practitioners in October 2021. The development of the content was led by Dr. Joseph De Leo of the Centre for Compassionate Care in Hamilton, Ontario.
With hundreds of clinics now offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, thousands now offering intravenous ketamine, and a projected annual doubling-to-tripling of the overall implementation and availability of medical ketamine, Homecoming firmly believes that the value of technology in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy lies in its ability to enhance, rather than replace, the role of the clinician or therapist. Homecoming’s goal is to support skilled providers by enhancing interactions between patients and therapists, leading to improved efficacy of care tailored to unique patient needs, conditions, and provider styles.
"At Flow Integrative, we know that preparation and integration are key to successful outcomes in ketamine therapy," says Christi Myers, MS, EMT-P, founder and CEO of Flow Integrative. "Throughout their treatment, patients need access to a customizable flow of information and guidance that evolves with them from beginning to end, helping them make the most of their experience. Homecoming allows our clinic to streamline patient access to content endorsed by our providers, freeing us to focus our time on what’s most important: our therapeutic relationship with our patients."
Homecoming is available for iPhone and Android, as well as through a fully featured web application for healthcare providers. Membership is required to access its features. Clinicians can sign up by scheduling a demo or contacting Homecoming at firstname.lastname@example.org.
